On Broadway Thespians, Inc. announces Mamma Mia! at the Hales Center for the Performing Arts
The sunny and funny Mamma Mia! spins and sparkles into the ultimate feel-good smash-hit musical. This completion of On Broadway Thespians (OBT) 27th season is playing from September 13 to September 29 at the Hales Center for the Performing Arts on the Southwestern Oregon Community College campus in Coos Bay, Oregon.
Director Julianna Seldon says, "OBT is proud to be working with Southwestern to present our show at the Hales Center. It is a beautiful, state of the art theatre, perfect for our production of Mamma Mia! It has been many years since the Hales has hosted a live theatre production; we feel honored to be a part of such an exciting community event."
The 9th longest-running musical on Broadway, Mamma Mia! is an international sensation that has been enjoyed by over sixty million people from around the globe. Timeless musical hits propel this enchanting tale with love, laughter and friendship.
On the eve of her wedding, Sophie, played by local favorite and 2014 Teen Idol winner, Karissa Thomas, has secretly invited three men from her mother Donna's past back to the Greek island paradise they last visited 20 years ago in a quest to discover the identity of her father. Donna’s long-time friends from her past girl-group “Donna and the Dynamos” also arrive for the wedding to catch up and reminisce, turning a trip down the aisle into one you’ll never forget!
